Obsession is a powerful emulation of a vintage synthesizer. At its core, it uses a classic synthesizer design consisting of two generators, a switchable two/four-field low-pass filter, two ADSR envelope generators, and two LTOs that are carefully modeled from iron equipment.
A comprehensive modulation matrix, two Step regulators for powerful rhythmic sequences and a high-quality chain of effects significantly increase the versatility of the instrument. The two parts with Single/Dual/Split modes offer a lot of extra space for experienced sound engineers to create.
Individual voice control is perhaps the most important feature of Obsession: each voice board can be markedly different from the others in many ways, creating that organic, lively sound that vintage analog polysynthesis is famous for.
The back panel of Obsession gives access to the section of high-quality effects, the modulation matrix, as well as to CV connectors and audio inputs + outputs. High-quality reverberation with added Shimmer effect brings pads, leads and atmosphere to a new dimension. Stereo delay as well as the chorus/ensemble effect can be applied for further improvement.
