Description: Software development department of the British company Solid State Logic introduced the SSL Channel Strip plugin. According to the company, the effect is a key tool in achieving the characteristic polished and juicy sound of SSL studio consoles.
SSL Channel Strip combines a virtual version of the parametric equalizer of consoles of the British manufacturer with a dynamic module, compressor and gate/extender. The developers refused to emulate microphone preamps: SSL preamps are distinguished by a very clean and neutral sound, which is why they practically do not participate in the formation of the famous sound of consoles.
The chain of effects is designed to help in matters of corrective equalization, elimination of unpleasant shade of sound and easy compression of the signal. Despite the versatility of the chain, the company notes that the plugin manifests itself best when processing vocals. The sound acquires a more expensive shade, saturated with luxurious radiance.
